Delegations from Russia and Ukraine are currently dialoguing as war enters the eighth day.

The meeting which is been held at the border of Belarus is aimed at ending Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The development was disclosed in a post on Twitter by the adviser to Ukraine President, Mykhailo Podolyak.

According to Podolyak, there is a call for an immediate ceasefire, armistice and humanitarian corridors for the removal of civilians from destroyed or constantly shelled villages and towns.

He wrote, “We are starting to talk to Russian representatives. The key on the agenda. 1. Immediate ceasefire. 2. Armistice. 3. Humanitarian corridors for the removal of civilians from destroyed or constantly shelled villages and towns.”

In a related development, a top Russian general has been killed by Ukraine fighters.

It was gathered that Major General Andrey Sukhovetsky was killed on Thursday after Ukrainian defence forces repelled the Russian offensive.

It was reported that a sniper killed the General who was the deputy commander of the 41st Combined Arms Army of Russia’s Central Military District.
